Anyone in the world By Alwyn Beikoff That dreaded four letter word again. It needn't be the big boogeyman that it is. Everyone has a diet. It's not just about losing weight. It's what and how we eat. That's it. Problem is, you do it wrong and you get fat. (Added to by the fact that it's easier to take it easy rather than expend energy.) So you go on a "diet". Most diets aim to cut calories. Fair enough I suppose if you don't want to burn off the excess food calories by exercising. Unfortunately people frequently make the mistake of assuming that if you're losing weight on 1000 calories a day then you'll do twice as well on 500 calories a day. Over-zealousness like this is counter-productive to losing weight because it results in muscle loss and flabby loose skin that looks as bad as skin tight with fat. It's true that you won't lose fat if you consume more calories than you burn. But over dieting means that by not eating enough you won't add any more muscle which burns extra calories simply to sustain itself. In fact you'll actually be losing muscle instead of losing weight from fat supplies - making fat loss even harder! The solution is to diet right. * Eat plenty of muscle-building foods, high in protein, complex carbohydrates and fibre. The good protein foods are chicken (not the skin), lean red meat, tuna and other fish, egg (particularly the whites) and milk. * Make sure you eat protein with each meal because the protein slows down the digestion. This helps to avoid spikes in your blood sugar levels. * Good carbohydrate foods include fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, potatoes and whole grain products. * Avoid foods with a lot of calories in a small portion. It's too easy to over eat on these foods as they feed your fat cells and kill you appetite for muscle-building foods. These are fatty foods like chips, hot dogs, oils and so forth, and sugars: cakes, sweets, soft drinks and desserts. You won't be losing weight by eating a lot of this food. * Processed foods generally contain lots of fats and sugars so avoid them as much as you can. * Use vinegar, lemon juice or non-oil herbal dressings. If you must use oil use a cold pressed olive oil. * Eat more, smaller meals rather than 3, 2 or even one meal a day as some people do. Four to six, small quality meals are better than 3 or fewer larger ones. * Limit between meal snacks to fresh fruits (bear in mind they are sugars), nuts (the fats in nuts are mostly the beneficial form of fat), lettuce or bell peppers and other raw green vegetables. * Drink plenty of good quality water. It not only helps to suppress appetite but helps to clean out the wastes from your body. * To help cover the nutrient gaps in your diet you could take a multivitamin with minerals. The nutrients your body doesn't need will be excreted in your urine. * To help burn fat you might also consider a couple of free form amino-acid capsules and a lipotropic fat burner with your meals. Any of these thermotropic fat burners and fat burning potions however are not even worth wasting your money on though if you aren't tending to the basics mentioned above. They are the simple facts of diet and losing weight. It's not really rocket science. But remember that diet is not the only part of the equation. If you support your diet with the right sort of exercise you give your diet more latitude to accommodate some of the not-so-good things you like to eat. Of course, you must also deal with the mental and emotional aspects of the weight problem as well. But as far as the diet side goes, while it can be made as complex as you like, and there are certainly many things to consider, the simple fact is, to lose weight you must consume slightly fewer calories than you expend, and how you do that is important as well. Anyone in the world By Adam Jaylin As the specter of online dating emerged and conquered all none would have thought that there is even a possibility of this phenomenon fizzling out, which is naturally the case with industry insiders showing lethargy or indifference even for a short span of time. The industry and merchants seemed invincible but even the best of crop can fail if not watered properly. This is an attempt to make the industry aware of its shortcomings that have recently been recognized by a chunk of online daters and potential online daters. When online dating became popular, the users were paying merely $19.99 a month, but today almost all online dating sites are charging anywhere between $49 - $59 to facilitate peoples online search for potential lovers and partners. The price hike, corresponding with the services popularity, has been immense and is soon going to get out of reach of the ordinary daters. The most number of complaints lodged at the Better Business Bureau about online dating service is regarding the concept of automatic rebilling employed by the merchants. This has been a major cause of frustration for online daters and they are increasingly becoming disoriented towards the whole system. Another factor that might prove to be the Achilles heel for the online dating industry is the misinformation that these merchants spread. The fee that you pay doesnt give you instant access to all the millions of registered members of the site but a select few. As for the others, one needs to pay again to be able to respond to a paid members messages. In cases like these, there are chances of the members feeling cheated. The industry is witnessing an upsurge and hence a small drop wouldnt really bother many but a dip doesnt take much time to turn into a plunge! Online Dating industryBeware! Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Marcus_Peterson]Marcus Peterson Cellular phones have become a necessity in this fast-paced world. They allow on-the-go people to be connected and reachable. There was a time that only those who had a steady source of high income could afford cellular phones. Children having cellular phones was unthinkable. Yet things do change. These days, the services that cellular phone service providers offer vary. Although there are still those who prefer the security of a post paid cellular phone subscription, a lot have also patronized prepaid cell phones. Prepaid cell phones offer pay-as-you-go policies that do not entail signing contracts with the service provider. Prepaid cell phones offer almost the same services as monthly accounts. Consumers do not need to be tied down to a given carrier. The policy also allows consumers to control their bills based on their budget and usage. Prepaid Cell Phones and You: Why They Work Do you rarely use your cell phone? Do you usually limit your cell phone usage and really just need a phone strictly for emergencies? Are you a parent who wants to budget the way your children use their cell phones? Do you have issues about signing contracts and being tied to a particular service company? Do you have credit issues? If you answer yes to most, if not all these questions, then prepaid cell phones might just be the answer you are looking for in terms of cell phone use. Since prepaid cell phones are prepaid, there are no monthly bills to worry about. Also, getting one does not require all the hassles that are required when applying for a post-paid plan. You only pay for the services which you use monthly and nothing more. Prepaid cell phone plans also include the same services as post-paid plans offer such as local and long distance calls, roaming and international call capabilities, caller ID, voice mail, call waiting, three-way calling and even text messaging. The Cons of Prepaid Cell Phones The services that prepaid cell phone credits can expire, depending on how long you hold on to the credits without using them. Cheaper credits expire sooner than more expensive credits. You automatically lose your credits if unused within the specified period. Also at 2530 cents a minute, they cost more per call than calls placed using most monthly billing plans. Anyone in the world By Christine Morgan This unique wedding gift is for my buddy Nolan and his new
bride; this gift is going to floor them (no doubt about it).
Nolan and Linda announced their intention of marriage two years ago. Today is the day for the marriage, and I am bubbling all
over. It feels like a hundred Christmas eves all in one day.
I need to bring you up to speed. The night Nolan announced
his marriage plans, I ran like a chicken with its head cut
off to prepare for it. And why? I want for them to experience their day over and
over again at least one thousand times, like forever and a
day. Knowing Nolan and Linda as I do, I have had years to know
their hearts desires. I have never seen two people so
passionatly in love with each other. If the law of
attraction were a Photo, you would see a photo of linda &
Nolan. I took a full day and dwelt on finding the one unique
wedding gift idea (without a doubt) that would floor them
at the same time. While eating at my favorite restaurant, I got it! I got it! I got it! I got only the best unique wedding gift idea ever; one that
they can share equally at the same time and last vertually
forever. I 'm now on cruise control, a man on a mission with
a purpose driven life to make this long in comming dream a
reality. I got in my jag and took a little drive to a desolate place
where Nolan and I use to camp, a place where we use to think
about things, and a good place to just get out of the city;
a place where we could not be found. I am not going to keep you in suspense any longer. This place
is our private place. I have actually thought about this
unique wedding gift idea years ago. I feel this is the ideal
spot to put a house on for Nolan and Linda when they finally
decide to get married. My fantasy, this unique wedding gift is going to be really
special. This unique wedding gift is going to be more than
grand, it's going to be so good that they may say that they
cannot except such a gift. This place was our place (our retreat). A few years ago I
bought 200 acres around this spot; talked to my architect
buddy to make the plans for this humongous house and grounds. It took about nine months to make the plans for this unique
wedding gift. This house will be something that when you see
the word 'exquisite'(in the dictionary, you will see this
house next to it. They will never want to leave home; indeed,
we designed it so they don't have to leave it. It took another nine months (just about) to build it and
furnish it. I then called Nolan and asked where they intend
to have the wedding, and he said that Linda 's father is
making those plans and has not finalize it yet. Remember where we use to go, our hide-away? "Of course", he
says. There is a mansion there now. As a favor to me, would
you mind if I talked to Linda's father and make a suggestion?
And as he always says, "have-at-it". Now, that was the crack in the door for me. You see, I
actually talked to Linda's father months ago and it has
already been negotiated. Let me show you the unique wedding
gift. As you drive through the 20-foot high gate you can see the
first 30 acres leading to the front of the house.
On the left you will behold a small lake with a bridge
walkway leading to the gazebo in the center of the lake.
Gazing into the waters you can see large fishes of all
colors. Driving on to the front of the house, the driveway turns
into a circle with one way in and one way out. The center is
landscaped with beautiful flora. As you approach the large
double doors, one of the doors opens while a friendly voice
says, "please proceed to the study on the left and someone
will greet you in a moment." Once in the study, another sexy voice says," please, I have
made a snack for you that is on the table, make yourselves
at home as your host will meet you shortly." I can go on for
hours describing this unique wedding gift; but we are going
to continue this tour at another time as the wedding service
is about to commencing and I am the best man. After the wedding, all of our closest friends and family
spent the day and night in this grand house. At dinner, I
proposed a toast to the newlyweds. "I am not a speechwriter
by any means but my childhood friend Nolan and his lovely
wife Linda is a fairytale just beginning and I want you two
to love each other always. Good communication is as stimulating
as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after. Please
spend your days and nights in your brand new home. Here are
your unique wedding gift keys to the castle. As you
always say, Have-at-it!" Chris & Ted MorganSuccess seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit. Anyone in the world By Peter Motley It is normal to be both excited and nervous when preparing for a big date. The better prepared you are, the more relaxed the date will be for you both. Try to set the date for a few days away. If you set the date for the following evening you will panic about not being prepared in time. If you set the date too far ahead, you will get very impatient and wish you had not made it so late. And your potential date might meet someone else in the meantime! Pick a venue, which is relatively informal. If you go somewhere stuffy, you might feel awkward or uncomfortable and that is the last thing you want on a date. A nice place where you can feel at ease is best, perhaps somewhere you have been before so you know what to expect. A lunch date is a good idea if it is your first date with somebody. If you get along well, you can spend the afternoon together too. A dinner date might be better as a second or third date. A lunch date can still be romantic but a first date is more about getting to know somebody. Try to look presentable. This includes wearing clean clothes, having clean hair and nails and smelling fresh. Looking scruffy will imply that your date is not worth the effort. Conversation should be light and flowing. Try not to discuss anything too heavy or depressing. Do not talk about past relationships that went wrong, especially on a first date. Light-hearted chat about work, your hobbies and interests is fine. Dont forget to ask your date questions about their interests too. Remember that silences need not be awkward. If you run out of things to say, dont panic. Just enjoying one anothers company is pleasant enough. The most important thing to remember is not to get stressed. Dates should not be terrifying experiences. Go out expecting to enjoy your date and the odds are that you will have a great time! Anyone in the world By Randy Hurlburt A few months ago a client whose love life was going nowhere asked the question: "Why are we living if there's nowhere to go?" Since time immemorial, sages, priests, monks, and philosophers have tried to answer this question, and have come up with many different answers. There probably is no "ultimate" answer to this question, so it appears that each of us must ask ourselves what matters to us. Then we can set goals, whether they are 1 year, 5 year, 10 year, or lifetime goals. Based on the goals we can decide on action steps. Because we can't be sure if we'll live another 5 years, the best we can do is be happy with each step. This is called "living in the now." Living in the now also allows for changes to the long-term goals as we learn more during the process of taking action steps. Thus unrealistic goals become realistic goals, and the nature of subsequent action steps may change. But the basic attitude of being happy taking one step at a time is the key. This is what's known as "the joy is in the journey." In relationships, it often seems that the progress toward our goals is distressingly slow ("going nowhere"). Here the concept of "baby steps" is important. People don't like to change, and they don't like to be changed. But if a relationship is to grow, both parties will probably need to change. She may want him to be more emotionally expressive, or to be more considerate of her feelings. He may want her to be more adventurous sexually, or to be more accepting of his interest in sports. Not all relationships will progress in a positive direction, of course. But observing whether or not there is progress, and the rate of such progress, is key to deciding if the relationship is worth the effort. Those relationships that do progress have a good chance of success, as long as both people recognize that it will be slow and sometimes painful. I have had this experience frequently with my fiance. Every few months we seem to come to a crisis point and have a discussion about something that one or the other doesn't like and wants to change. Sometimes we feel like we have reached the limit and it will be the end of the relationship (a scary thing). But we always manage to set small, incremental goals, each of us giving something that the other wants but that has previously been outside our limits. For instance, at one time when she was feeling insecure about the relationship and I was feeling unloved, I agreed to spend more time with her and she agreed to be more openly affectionate. We both kept this bargain, the relationship continued, and we felt good about how it progressed. We have had dozens of such small conversations (they always seem big at the time), and the resulting incremental baby step progress has brought us to where we are now. Think about your relationship. What would you like right now from your partner? (Be specific, and choose something small.) What would your partner like from you? (Think of something that's hard for you to give.) Then when you have almost reached your limit (but before crossing it), initiate a discussion. Express your needs and ask for his or her needs. Be loving and supportive. Be willing to negotiate, be open to ideas you hadn't thought of, and be prepared to end the relationship on a constructive note if several such discussions prove unfruitful. Part of the problem is societal expectations. From fairy tales to movies to magazines we are spoon-fed the goal of the happily ever after monogamous marriage. The truth is that most marriages are neither happy nor monogamous, but we keep searching for that ideal. And we expect it to come easily (with the other person being the only one to change.) What's important is to take our baby steps in such a way that they move us towards an incremental increase in emotional fulfillment without giving up the ideal as an ultimate concept. In this way various "non-ideal" states of the relationship can be OK during the journey. This mode of thinking helps to promote happiness with the baby steps. There's a quote from Carlos Casteneda that I like: "All paths lead nowhere: a path with "heart" is a strong path." If you follow a path with heart, baby step by baby step, you will be happily secure that you are "going somewhere." On the edge of a breakup? Want more love (and better sex)? Three simple steps to turn your relationship around (or find a new one)! Anyone in the world By Jennifer Woodard You know you need marketing help. But you are unsure if you need to hire a marketing coach or a marketing consultant. This article is a brief description of what marketing coaches and consultants do and how they help their clients. After reading this article you should be able to decide if coaching or consulting is right for you. Whats the difference between a Marketing Coach and Marketing Consultant? A marketing coach will work with you to develop your marketing skills and create a marketing plan. The coach will ask you questions to help you develop a plan for your marketing activities.
You will be left to handle the actual marketing activities for yourself. A marketing consultant will help you determine what marketing activities are best suited for your type of business. They will help you develop and implement a marketing plan. The consultant will handle all or some of your marketing activities for you. How do coaches and consultants go about helping their clients? Coaches will hold sessions with you where you will determine the skills that you currently have or need to develop to execute a successful marketing campaign. The coach will work with you almost like a therapist to help you dig deep to determine what your business is all about. They will help you focus core business values and market. Many will help you to create a marketing plan. Coaches are great at helping to develop a marketing plan you can implement on your own. You can continue to work with a coach to help you meet your goals and get back on track when you fall off. Consultants will meet with you to discuss your business and marketing needs. They will help you determine the best marketing activities for you and your business and the best ways to implement the activities. Consultants can also implement the plan that you have created and allow you to spend time focusing on your new and current customers. You can hire a consultant who will create a plan for you, implement the plan and anywhere in-between. Consultants will also help you to develop a marketing budget. Find ways to penetrate new markets and help you create marketing materials. A consultant can keep track of your activities and determine what is working and what is not. They can also help to redirect your campaign if things are not working as expected. How do you know if you need a coach or a consultant? There are some basic questions that you can ask yourself to help determine if you need a coach or consultant. 1. Do you need help creating a marketing plan that you can implement yourself? If yes, then consider hiring a coach. 2. Do you want someone to help you create a marketing plan and then implement the activities for you? If yes, then consider hiring a consultant. 3. Would you like someone who will help you develop a marketing plan and them implement the areas you do not feel comfortable with handling? If yes, then consider hiring a consultant. 4. Do you want someone who will monitor your activities and consult with you when you are off track and need encouragement? If yes, then consider hiring a coach. Once you have determined whether you want to hire a marketing coach or marketing consultant. Create a list of potential coaches or consultants and give them a call. Ask them how they work, how they will help you and what you should be able to expect. Happy marketing. Anyone in the world By Kim Snyder There are discount nail salons on just about every corner these days and a great deal of competition within the industry. Salons that are higher in price are now going out of their way to specialize in different, branded systems that are inventive in the different ways they offer you to take care of your nails. With Nail Salons on every corner, how do you pick the right one for you? There are many different types of Nail Salons, from your basic services to full out Retreats for weekends in the bed of luxury. How can you tell which one is right for what you want done? You might enjoy paying less to have your fills done, but the cost of the product used to do that fill is still the same. All nail salons use the same kinds of products to work on your nails, so there really wont be much difference in the type of products found in any salon you might visit. However, there ARE different brands available for each product type. If the nail salon you are going to uses a name brand product such as O.P.I, China Gaze, Creativespa,LECHAT Color Gel, Solar Oil, even at wholesale prices, the products cost about the same at either high end or low end Salons, so what extra value are you getting if you visit a more expensive nail salon? What you are getting at a higher cost Salon are typically better services, benefits and in some cases, more personal care and attention. One of those benefits may be cleaner air.Indoor air pollution from the chemicals in nail products can be one of the biggest problems for those who have breathing problems, but still want to get their nails done. If you are getting your nails done at a higher end salon, there is a good chance that they have an air filter or fans or other air cleaners to stop the smell of acrylics from burning your nose or eyes when you walk in the door. Many additional services are being offered at higher end Salons, other than just your basic acrylic overlays with tips, and simple manicures and pedicures. When we asked clients about the best Salons they had patronized, they said there were differences in what the place looked like, but even when it wasnt called a Day Spa it was just a step down from it. Here is a common list of services offered by higher end nail salons.
Spa-level Manicures,
Spa-level Pedicures,
Natural Nail Care,
Silk/Cotton/Linen Nail Wraps,
Nail Art beyond simple one color flowers,
Full Sets,
Gel Overlays,
Massage Legs, Arms, Hands
Organic and Botanical products for Pedicures,

The whole atmosphere is different at a higher end nail salon. There is no rushing to get your nails done, with your cuticles being roughed up because technicians are filing quickly because they must do many more manicures a day to make a living wage. Each nail technician in a higher-end salon should be dressed for success or wear a smock with the nail salons name on it.They are typically not gossiping among themselves about other clients and not speaking to each other in languages other than English. Salon clients consulted in the preparation of this article made a very strong recommendation that one language should be spoken when there are clients in the room and technicians should wear little or no jewelry. All these different services are going to cost more and there is no way around that fact. For those who dont need more than just a fill every two weeks, these benefits may mean nothing, but for those who want more, its going to cost more. After asking different salon owners and those who get manicures and pedicures done regularly, all say one word: Sanitation. The biggest difference between higher priced and discount Nail Salons is the level of cleanliness of the whole Salon, including the equipment and technicians. This should be the most basic criteria of choice. Based on that, if you cant decide whether you want to go to a discount nail salon or one that is higher priced, then here are a few additional ideas to might help you decide. When you walk into a nail salon, either discount or higher in price, stop and look around. Are the floors dirty or does the carpet have big stains on it? What do the nail technicians look like? Do they look unkempt or have nails of their own that look like they need work? Are their stations disorganized and untidy? If this is what you are seeing, then the best thing you could do is just turn and walk away. A health inspector we interviewed said that when she visited a particular nail salon, her first impression was that it looked clean, and the prices was reasonable. Then she began her close examination. What she saw was down right scary for the salons customers. The whirlpool for pedicures wasnt properly disinfected between each use, and the foot baths provided the perfect environment for the growth of dangerous bacteria. When tested, the bacteria growing in the footbaths could have caused someone a major skin infection. Unfortunately, official inspectors regularly inspecting Salon premises are not as common as it once was. If the possibility of infection is something you are worried about, then a higher end nail salon would be a better choice because they can afford to take better care of their equipment and are typically more conscious of the welfare of their clients. Today you can buy your own simple equipment for your nail technician to use on your nails and no one elses. Many technicians use nail files that are single use. You can ask for them if that is something you would rather have used on your nails. Nail technicians are there to give a service. If they do a great job, please dont to forget to tip them - they have to eat too. If you are not sure which Salon to patronize, ask your friends or family or work colleagues for recommendations about where they go to get their nails done. If you see someone with nails that you admire, dont hesitate to ask them for a recommendation to their favorite Salon. Go with your friends and see their favorite salons for yourself, before having any work on done on your own nails. Which Salon you choose should be based on many if not most of the ideas we have mentioned above, and on your income, where you live, and what you want done. Only you can decide what you are willing to pay to have the luxury of getting your nails and toes done. Copyright Kim Snyder, owner Overallbeauty.com.
