throw your buzzer parallel with the bank. Sometimes, you will get a lot of blow-ups but no fish. This is usually because the bass want the buzzbait at a slower pace. One way to do this effectively is to go from a small blade to a big blade. That allows you to work the buzzbait more slowly and still keep it on top. During the fall, the bass see the buzzbait as a shad trying to
escape. Then unlike other times, you are catching bass feeding
instead of just a reaction strike mainly. For bright skies and
clear water try a nickle blade with a white skirt. The white skirt resembles a shad in clear water. On cloudy days and stained water try a gold blade with a blue, black or chartreuse skirt. better. When you cast the buzzbait, get those blades moving the second it hits the water. When there is a lot of cover, you need to have those blades turning as you don't have the convenience of getting the buzzer working over a long distance. Ever see a bass on the beds? Try a slow moving buzzbait to entice them to move your intruding lure off the bed. If you cant go slow enough with the blade youre using try a 3 blade buzzbait, it allows you to keep the lure on top at a super slow speed. This should cause that bedding bass to want to move it. Please, if you do catch a bass on her bed, always return it quickly to the water. I personally dont fish for bedding bass, but there are a lot of huge female bass on beds for sure. When the water warms to the mid 70s bass usually move to deeper
water. This is the time to use buzzbaits in early morning or at
night. The early morning bass you catch are usually going back to deeper water from the feeding area. You buzzbait can get them to strike for that last meal. When fishing cover with a buzzbait, throw past the cover and let
the buzzer come back to the target and actually bump the buzzbait against the cover. The erratic movement many times will produce a strike. This past week we have had lots of rain and the lakes are a little out of the banks. Guess what, that is more areas for bass to roam. Now a buzzbait is a great search tool, so throw it in the new flooded areas of your favorite lake to find the bass. One last but main tip. Dont ever fish a buzzbait without a trailer hook and to even get more strikes use a red trailer hook. Have fun this fall and catch bass and when you do on a buzzbait

Secondary research involves literature searches, article reviews and analysis of existing, available data. While secondary research is limited to the information you have on hand, it is usually much cheaper than primary research and can be conducted by small businesses themselves.
There are two general types of primary research: qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative research is used for developing new ideas or to get a "gut feeling" for a given subject or problem. Quantitative research primarily involves surveys based on representative samples, where data is collected using mail, telephone or personal interviews. Results from quantitative studies can be projected to entire populations and therefore used in predicting.
Qualitative Research
Nearly all qualitative research is done using focus groups. These groups consist of eight to ten carefully selected and recruited individuals who participate in a directed discussion concerning some issue. The specifications for recruiting these participants are based on the objectives of the study. For example, the owner of a gardening service who is interested in expanding into a new geographic territory might want to explore the demand for these services beforehand by conducting focus groups among homeowners living in the area where the expansion is planned.
The discussion itself is designed and led by a professional researcher called a focus group moderator. The moderator follows a specially prepared script known as a moderator's guide, which is developed with assistance from the client and outlines the issues to be covered. It is important that an independent, professional moderator be used to ensure objectivity, and that all the relevant issues are covered.
Focus groups are often conducted in special facilities that are equipped with one-way mirrors and observation rooms so the client can observe the discussions firsthand without disturbing the participants. The discussions are either audio or videotape recorded so the moderator does not have to take notes. After conducting the groups, the moderator will listen to the tapes, summarize the key points and present the client with a final report on the findings. In most cases, three focus groups are conducted for a single research project. It would be too risky to arrive at any conclusions based on the results of just a single group, since the chances of only one group being representative of the population are quite slim. While two groups are better than one, many times the findings from the second group vary greatly from those of the first. A third group strikes a balance between the first and second and allows the client a better perspective.
While focus groups are a legitimate form of marketing research, they are also the most misused and incorrectly applied of all existing techniques. They should only be used for exploration and generation of new ideas, and should never be considered as representative of the opinions of the entire population. The results from focus groups cannot be projected in any way. On the other hand, focus groups are an excellent method of flushing out key issues regarding a new idea or potential product or service. They can also serve as the first stage of the research process by identifying key points to be addressed in subsequent, quantitative surveys

I am Captain Mark Corn of Southern Costa Rica Sport Fishing, located in Puerto Jiminez Costa Rica and Blue and Black Marlin fishing is our specialty and is also the species we target most of the time. There are a variety of reasons why most of our Costa Rica fishing trips are for marlin. Yes they can grow to tremendous sizes which is a major attraction by itself but sharks are big too and we usually won't target them. Our customers that fly down for exotic fishing vacations in Costa Rica seem to prefer marlin fishing too so that is one of the reasons so many of our trips target marlin. But for the crew and myself marlin fishing is our specialty because the marlin species, either Black or Blue is Costa Rica's ultimate fish and it's the world's ultimate sportfish too for that matter. Marlin are at the top of the food chain and it is us that venture into their world, on their "turf". Because they are the oceans top billfish they provide anglers that are good enough to get hooked up to a large specimen a chance to test his own fishing skills and knowledge. They offer anglers a chance to go one on one with the oceans top fish, it's man against nature's best and you better be ready to give it your all because this beautiful creature of the deep is going to do anything and everything for his chance at freedom. Now you know why and what the attraction is, what drives some very enthusiastic anglers to spend half their lives hunting these fish. With that in mind you now need to know the how we catch these giant Costa Rica Marlin. The best time of the year for fishing for marlin in Costa Rica is from Sept through march. We use two different tactics for catching marlin in Costa Rica. Tactic Number One for Costa Rica Marlin Fishing (Fishing Structures) We fish mainly over penicals, sea mounts and ridges for both species. These structures are like an ocean cafeteria to marlin. Why do you ask? Bait, Bait Bait. The favorite bait for marlin are skipjack tuna. These tuna usually hang around these structures, because of the upsweep of the currents below. The currents bring up food that the skipjack feed on. We spot the tuna either on the depth sounder or see them feeding on top of the water. Our method for catching the tunas is to troll white jigs through the feeding tuna. Most of the time we get multiple hook ups.The bait is then reeled up and we have a wet towel to put the tuna in while he is rigged up to troll live.We use rigging floss and insert a bait needle through the top of the eye socket. This is called brideling the bait. Then twist the hook a few times to take up the slack in the floss.When completed your hook should be tight above the eyes of the bait. We use 300lb test fluorocarbon leader with a 16-o or 20-o circle hook depending on the size of the bait used. The rods we use for Costa Rica marlin fishing are 80lb class, with 50 wide reels spooled with 80lb test clear line. This gives you plenty of back bone in hauling in your prize catch. We fish 2 to 3 rods at a time for multiple hook ups on marlin. There is nothing better than a double hook up on marlin....This makes my job a challenge which one do we go after first??? The answer the closest one first. When we are Costa Rica marlin fishing using live tuna we adjust the boat speed so the tuna swims along effortlessly and looks good. When we get over the structure we put the boat into neutral and this allows the baits to swim down deeper.This method seems to produce more bites from marlin. If we have no luck the boat is put into gear to move on down the structure. Next time you go fishing in Costa Rica and have a chance to go after a marlin you should give this method when fishing in Costa Rica for marlin it produces.... Marlin Fishing in Costa Rica, Tactic Number Two (open water trolling) When on the hunt for marlin in open water we always keep our eyes open for birds working ( feeding, diving ,circling). Flocks of birds usually means bait, where schools of skipjack tuna and yellowfin tuna are feeding. We use the same method as mentioned before for catching the tuna, trolling jigs. Don't be afraid of using a big tuna for bait. A marlin can eat a bait that is 10% of there body weight. Yes 10% a 1000lb marlin can eat a 100lb tuna. We use tunas from 10lb to 20lb for bait. The method used in open water fishing for marlin when using live tunas for bait is to troll the tunas on the outer edge of the schooling tunas.The marlin usually stay on the outer edge of the tuna and dart into the school for there prey. Marlin can also be taken in open water when blind trolling which is a tactic of trolling with lures at 9 knots in order to cover as much ground as possible. Using this method you have a cinch of catching other species of game fish (sailfish, dolphin, wahoo). Our favorite marlin lure is usually located on what we call the short corner. The lure is set on the 2nd wave behind the boat (only 15ft from the transom). What a spectular bite and sight it is to see a 650lb marlin come up just 15ft behind the boat and inhale your lure and take off into the sunset. First of all you need to identify what kind of insects you have or are likely to get. There are plenty of common species, but only a few of these do any significant harm in a given area and there are a number of ways to identify them. Check plant leaves, flowers and shrubs and match any you dont recognise against photos you can find on the internet. Look for information on any particular plants that you're concerned over and you shouldnt have any trouble identifying the most common pests. Oftnen that information will contain a photo you can use for comparison. A lot of the insects on flowers, trees, grass and other plants are hidden and you may have to rely on guesswork and apply general methods that are used to control common invasive species. Aphids are often found on rose bushes, for example but may be difficult to spot. Grass often has grub infestations that is not visible to the eye and can only be detected by looking underneath the soil. Another method is to examine any effects you might see Grass with round, brown spots, especially in late Spring through Summer may mean you have a Japanese Beetle grub problem. Double check your guesswork with other methods if you find that patches of grass come away from the soil easily like carpet with loose tacks then you may have a grub problem. Eliminating insects and grubs that are causing problems is usually safe, cheap and easy especially with modern control methods. This doesnt mean you have to purchase and spray large areas with chemicals, although most of them are said to be safe for both humans and the environment. Instead of using grub killing fertilizer or insecticide use biological control methods. These are considered to be more organic and are becoming more popular and effective all the time. A substance called 'milky spores' can be a very cost effective way to control grubs in lawns. Biological control may be more expensive than a bag of grub insecticide to start with. A 30lb bag of grub killer may cost $10 and last two years where a 1-liter bottle of milky spores may be $30 or more, but it lasts for 10 years. This works well because it is a natural compound which contains living organisms that invade the grub larvae and interrupts their growth cycle. In effect, you have one organism killing another. The spores are harmless to your lawn as they only act on the grub. There are other control methods like the one above each meant to solve a particular problem. This is because organisms are particular about which insects they will invade and when. These methods are safe, cost effective and many are last longer than other, chemical methods. You can use chemical insecticides if you really need to do so. Modern insecticides are much more sophisticated, and decay safely and quickly into harmless byproducts without harming the environment. Needle Palm - Rhapidophyllum hystrix is a needle palm, which are the most frost hardy palms on earth surviving -20F weather with little damage. Saw Palmetto or Serenoa Repens - Sassafras Palm has been found growing wild as far north as Virginia, Washington D.C., and New Jersey, and is cold hardy to -10 F. Cabbage Palm or Sabal Palmetto - Sabal Palm and Palmetto Palm is the state tree of South Carolina and Florida. It is popular as a landscape tree in southern states with excellent cold-hardiness and transplanting success. Sabal palms are salt water tolerant. Canary Island Date Palm - Phoenix canariensis or Majestic Palm. Is the most desirable palm to give a tropical look to the landscape. The trees grow about 50ft tall with leaves up to 20ft long. Chinese Fan Palm is a slow growing palm; forms very large leaves, which will give a full-grown, tree a look of weeping. This palm can withstand below freezing weather, and can grow inside patios. You can find this palm tree along highways. This type of palm tree can grow up to 25ft tall. Date Palm is the true date palm of North Africa. It has been planted widely in Arizona and California for production of dates. Date palms work well in mall landscaping. Gum Palm is cold hardy to light freezes, but will freeze in weather below 20F. The long leaves look like fern fronds, but the leaflets are bright shiny green in colour and stiff and sharply toothed. European Fan Palm or European Palm. Has a large crown of blue-green fanlike leaves. This palm is considered to be one of the coldest hardy and grows outside. The plant can be relocated and will survive easy with little transplant shock when moved, even in during the summer months. Pygmy Date Palm is a good container plant when potted indoors. Fine-leafed, small scale, single-trunked palm; grows slowly up to about 5ft. Washingtonian Palm or Mexican Fan Palm has a tall slender trunk, has a crown of large fan-shaped evergreen fronds, and can provide a very tropical appearance to the landscape. Sago Palm is a feather leaf palm that is found along the Atlantic coast beach and is 300 years old and 12 feet tall with dignified umbrella crowns. Phoenix Sylvester Palm or Toddy Palm is very similar to the Canary Island Palm and the edible date palm. Zamia pumila or Coontie Palm is known as the prehistoric plant, which dominated the earth 200 million years ago and grows 3ft tall on separate male and female plants.
